The forum guidelines are as follows:

    • Please be polite. Insulting or personally attacking other users is not allowed.
    • If you are to be critical of another user's ideas or message please do so in a respectful manner.
    • Racist material and other posts that insult or vilify a particular ethnic group, gender, sexual orientation, religion or creed will not be tolerated.
    • Posting direct or veiled threats of violence against other people or property is completely unacceptable by any user and will result in immediate banning.
    • Please use common sense, especially when posting images. Please don't post graphically offensive material. That includes pornography, or anything that could even be mistaken for pornography.
    • No promotion of illegal activities
    • Don't post other forum members' personal contact information without their permission.
    • Please use relevant and descriptive discussion titles.
    • Please do not post huge articles across several separate posts. It's better to link to the blog post or web page of a very long article.

Finally, be advised that whatever Len says goes.

Dealing with guideline violations: users are welcome to report activity destructive to the community as specified in the guidelines.

    Thank you!

    Hi MinM,

Yeah, the forum was hacked. :( I've cleaned up the mess and beefed up security considerably. Google now gives the forum a clean bill of health.

I don't think there was actually ever any danger to users of the forum. The hacking was aimed at increasing the Google search ranking of a few sites in Russia that do try to get people to download malware, but there was never any virii or other malware on the BoR forum itself. Google found the URLs of those sites in our HTML when they crawled us, and briefly put us on their blacklist, which caused Firefox and some other browsers to show those malware warnings when visiting the forum.

    Hi all,

I just want to make sure people know about other Black Op Radio community links and related sites. If I've left anything out please feel free to add or let me know.

Not sure. I can't find it now. Can anyone give me a link to the evil spam message? Thanks.

    Zach,

If you go to my account where it says zcopley sent me a message and click on the blue, highlighted word, message, you'll see the russian stuff. I tried copying and pasting, but it won't let me. It says July 2010 for the registration, so maybe it's another user, I don't know.

I have to wonder if this kind of nonsense isn't directly aimed at having the site blocked. I remember Raw Story had a similar problem, and the new version of the Revolution Radio site was recently showing a malware warning. My own fairly controversial ancient history site was recently completely missing from the internet to the point that I had to switch web hosts, despite the fact that my original host claimed there was nothing wrong. These could all be perfectly innocent, but they could also be examples of the misuse of internet "safety" in order to push the consensus reality: Mom, flag, and apple pie, RAH! RAH! RAH! :-(
